How does this title sound? Scary?Demotivating? Relatable?

We all experience failure at some point in our lives. The challenge lies in how to deal with it. I am sharing my personal mantras to deal with it, in the hope that it might help someone, somewhere to deal with failure.

  1. Don’t let failure demotivate you. Accept this phase as a part of your life and move ahead.
  2. Introspect the causes which led to the failure and learn from them. Remember that experiences are the best teachers.
  3. If possible take a sabbatical, it will allow you the breathing space and disconnecting from people around you for some time will allow a healing process.
  4. Failures are equally important as successes are to provide a neutral perspective to life.

These are just a few points gathered from personal experiences. :))

Quite frequently I come across articles, bringing out the nuances of writing skills, where every writer makes a valuable contribution on writing skills. I have been avidly following WordPress for the past almost a year, reading varied articles transport me, to the world of writers.

And, to my strong realization, although it happened quite earlier, I did notice that varied experience enhances and enriches the writing skills coupled with imagination.

Most of the times our writing reflects our assimilated thought process, accumulated over a period of time by stumbling upon different occurrences; sometime consciously, sometimes unconsciously.

We, Indians lack the international audience, primarily on the account that our articles revolve mainly around “recipes”. Do we have an insufficient vocabulary or do we lack grammatical skills? I don’t think so. Perhaps we lack adequate exposure in the international arena and hence our articles don’t resonate with the international community.

Well, writing is not combination and permutation of words, it’s an intricate exercise. If someone is writing for his/her passion, then they can take any approach, but if you want to have an international presence, then I would strongly recommend assembling rich experience and use in your writing style.

Essence of customer service.

Customer is the king, the phrase essentially epitomes the significance of the customer service. In a highly competitive global market, it’s the customer service which helps an organization to survive and evolve. The role of customer service becomes prominent and takes paramount importance for the organization where the product is intangible in nature.

At the macro level, it’s the “customers” which help an organization to sustain, and at the micro level, it’s the “customers” which helps the employees to get their salaries.

The essential guide to marketing “5C’s of marketing” also has “identifying customer needs” as an essential component among other constituents, thereby, emphasizing the dimension of satisfied customers in the context of marketing.

There are some basic mantras which can help an organization to keep its customers happy and satisfied.

  • Promptness: Responding to the query/complaint of customer promptly. Keep in mind that customer will always need the information/solution quickly, therefore, promptness facilitates the process of customer service.
  • Delighting the customer: Going the extra mile to meet the requirement of client will definitely help in delighting the customer. Genuine concern regarding the customer’s problem is a sure shot formula to win a customer’s heart and loyalty.
  • Active listening: Active listening can lead to the process of identifying needs and wants of the customers, which might be unheralded and unspoken. A customer may not be able to articulate the concerns, but by being an active listener, a customer service professional can dive deep into the center of problem and bring out an effective solution.
  • Greeting: A cheerful greeting to a customer can take away the load of problem from the customer’s mind, hence, smoothing the rest of the call. A relaxed customer is always easier to handle.

Practising these small steps, while servicing a customer, can help in keeping the customers happy and satisfied and ensuring the business for the organization.

Myriad Intricacies of life

He died last week, after being with us for a period of almost 5 years. I decided to write the piece below, in a rather sombre mood.

Myriad intricacies of life can be captivating, suffocating, enthralling, motivating, demotivating, depressing; there are unimaginable possibilities or outcomes, when a person is exposed or subjected to such extreme conditions. Very few can sail, rest drowns or just manage to float.

When I look back at my past, I was subjected to conditions varying from normal to extreme abnormal.

A spoilt childhood, thanks to extreme pampering; an ambitious youth; thanks to peer pressure, a promising career, which I created myself; a beautiful motherhood, thanks to an angel in my life.

There are more additions, which I would like to talk later. These “sporadically consistent ‘variations in my life turned me into a much stronger person. Following are the outcomes, which I learnt:

1) Always have a backup plan for any kind of circumstance; you might need at any time.

2) Pray for positive but do imagine what extreme negative situations, you can be subjected to. The process will keep you prepared for the worst.

3) Whenever time allows, ponder over the past. They say your experiences are your best teacher,

When I started this piece, I was in a depressing mood over the death of our pet, but life has to move  and as I said before” Life always brings a new challenge, a new opportunity with itself”.

Mehendi – The Indian way of tattoo.

I decided to write this blog, more with desire to spread the awareness about this unique art.

Henna, or more locally called as Mehendi, usually adorn the palms of the newlyweds and their relatives as a tradition followed in India and some parts of Asia.

A fine paste made from leaves of small shrubs, Henna, is synonymous with marriage or its related functions. For long, the art remains confined to households, now has become a burgeoning industry.  Thanks to the media.

There are professionals and amateur, both equally delving in the passion to create magic in your hand. They charge reasonably and try their level best to create these intricate designs. The best part is it’s painless and temporary.

Go, try this magic on any part of your body.

Happy Munching

Happy Munching

Few days back, while passing the road-side, we came across this marvel. She was happy playing in the soil, with parents obviously busy working.

The innocence on her face took us by impulse, and we started clicking her face.

We could feel the content in her eyes, on being given a sweet.
